NOTE: I wrote a previous version of this blog post in 2019 for Makeup Scholar.
On the left, I’ve posted a new and improved version to reflect my writing and editing skills in 2023.
About this blog post
This piece explores the social science behind makeup’s influence on how we’re treated by others.
Originally published in 2019, I’ve heavily edited this blog post in 2023 to explain the scientific evidence in layman’s terms, and for easier skimming.
This post required a lot of research. The published piece cites over 32 academic journals. It’s a lot of information to take in, and is a little hard to digest all at once for the target market. I’ve cut it down to the most interesting 15 citations and improved the readability of the blog post.
One possible lead magnet that would pair well with this post? An ebook exploring the top 5 most surprising findings in academic beauty research.
